About CATMS
Correspondence and Task Management System (CATMS)
is a flexible and scalable system that allows component users to create, delegate, assign, respond, and research a knowledge repository linked with task and correspondence accurately and efficiently.
CATMS leverages a commercial off the shelf (COTS) product Task Management Tool (TMT). This TMT provides a proven readily available solution currently in use throughout DOD. The system supports rapid and iterative processes to make minor configuration changes and updates.
CATMS will provide all OSD components the ability to create, engage, and complete end-to-end task and correspondence collaboration. CATMS provides users a familiar and easy-to-use environment utilizing established Microsoft applications such as, Office, Internet Explorer and SharePoint.
By leveraging powerful template and automation workflows, tasking is streamlined which allows decisional information to be disseminated quickly. The ability to disseminate tasker information vertically and/or horizontally provides more time for users to complete action requests.
CATMS Training
Component users have three different types of training available:
Action Officer Training (Directorate Controller)
Lecture style training targeted at users who receive and answer taskers. These users mainly accept, reject, and complete taskers. They also have the ability to create Actions and taskers.
Duration: 1.5 - 2 hours
